In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, from September 1, children from families with low income will have the opportunity to visit regional sports institutions for free. Such amendments were considered by the Committee on Sports, Youth Policy, Tourism and the development of the public environment of the regional parliament.
Chairman of the Committee of the Legislative Assembly, Alexander Novikov, noted that from January 1, 2025, children from large families have already received the right to visit state gym, gym, rinks, pools and other facilities for free. For the first quarter of the year, about 600 children used the right, half playing sports on a systematic basis.
Now, children from low -income families will be able to get such a right, one of the parents of which is the recipient of a monthly allowance in connection with the birth and upbringing of the child.
“I believe that this is the right step, about 120 thousand children are brought up in low -income families in the region, there should not be a slight wealth obstacle to sports. It is important that the sport is available to everyone, ”said Alexander Novikov.
Thanks to this, it will be possible to involve children in systematic playing sports, forming their interest in a healthy lifestyle, and increasing motivation for physical education. Amendments to the law were made by the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in pursuance of instructions of the President of Russia.
Alexander Novikov noted that in the future, the category of children who can visit the regional sports facilities for free can be expanded.
The bill will be submitted to the nearest meeting of the session of the regional parliament for adoption in the first reading.
