The start of the Axiom-4 mission, which is to take four astronauts, including Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski to the International Space Station (ISS), was postponed to Wednesday, at 14 Polish time due to the forecast strong winds in the flight corridor – said SpaceX. Earlier, the flight was planned for Tuesday, at 14.22.

As SpaceX announced on Platform X, the change of the term was caused by “strong winds in the erection corridor”. The new starting window begins on Wednesday, at 8 local time (14 in Poland), while the next spare date is Thursday, at 7.37 (13.37 in Poland).
The Falcon 9 rocket together with the Dragon capsule, which will take astronauts to the International Space Station, from Saturday night stands in the 39A start complex in the NASA Space Center in Cape Florida. On Monday, the rocket underwent a static test of her engines, and the AX -4 crew – a full general test, practicing all procedures before the start, including the boarding of Dragon.
As Dr. Aleksandra Bukała from the Polish Space Agency said before, the rocket itself is ready to take off.
“On the side of the rocket we already have everything in green, as we call it, i.e. there is + Go + (readiness to start – PAP) in each of the systems,” she said.
The crew of the AX-4 mission consists of: Peggy Whitson (USA)-commander, Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski (Poland/ESA)-specialist, Shubhanshu Shukla (India)-pilot and tibor kapu (Hungary)-specialist.
This is another commercial crew expedition carried out by the American company Axiom Space. The participation of a Pole in it is the result of a contract signed between the Ministry of Development and Technology and the European Space Agency for the preparation and conduct of the Polish Ignis technological and scientific mission to ISS. The Polish Space Agency (Polsa) as an executive agency of MRIT also takes part in the preparations.
