Nicușor Dan stated, in a Facebook post, that the Central Electoral Bureau allowed the freedom of expression, although he accepted a post by Marcel Ciolacu, unmarked as an electoral message, in which he attacks the mayor of the capital.
Nicușor Dan recalls that more than 150 citizens, without political affiliation, aroused deleted posts from social networks, posts in which they expressed opinions about candidates in the presidential elections.
“At the same time, Marcel Ciolacu, prime minister, political actor, supporter and financier through the party he leads to the candidate Crin Antonescu, is allowed to write about me by explicitly doing the election campaign to the Coalition without the mandatory mentions imposed by the AEP at the end of his posts.
He accuses the bulb of interpreting similar situations differently, even if this leads to the restriction of the right to free expression. “Some become more equal than others in terms of freedom of expression so I ask the bulb again. From what function does a citizen have the right to free expression?”, Concluded the mayor of the Capital.

The post to which Dan refers appeared on the Facebook account of Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu two days ago.
“Mr. Nicușor Dan, I notice that he does not concern you at all the drama of the two elders who died desperately trying to warm up their home! This is happening in the capital you run, but you have abandoned to make a presidential campaign,” wrote Marcel Ciolacu.
During Sunday, Ionuț Mosteanu, the group leader of USR deputies, announced that he had filed a complaint to the BEC related to Ciolacu's posting as he was not marked as an electoral message, although he attacks an candidate.
“Marcel Ciolacu violated that stupidity of law he did-he did not put the mandate code at a post in which he attacks a candidate. But the office rejected the notification of the USR, stating that the post does not contain “specific elements of political advertising materials, presenting the author's personal opinion, thus falling within the limits of freedom of expression”.
Despite the rejection of the complaint, Moșteanu returned with a Facebook post stating the BEC decision. “I welcome this decision, it seems to me that after a few contradictory decisions, the bulb understood that freedom of expression is essential for democracy. So free to criticize the candidates,” commented Ionuț Mosteanu.
