Scammers deceive applicants using fake university sites

Internet canom began to create fake sites of universities and colleges. This scheme began to gain popularity during the reception campaign.

State Duma deputy Anton Nemkin said that fake sites are almost identical to official. Fraudsters copy logos, photos and corporate identity. Sites function with domains that almost completely duplicate the real ones.

You can find ads on preparatory courses and quotas. The discount is supposedly given for urgent payment. For this, applicants are advised to leave personal data and pay for the service.

The parliamentarian also recalled that Russian universities accept payment only under official details of the educational institution.
