More than 17 thousand residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory met the “Victory Train” of the Krasnoyarsk Railway, which made a festive tour in honor of the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory.
The record holder for the number of guests was the Nazarovo station. More than 5 thousand people gathered on the station platform, where the retro train stopped on April 29 – residents of not only the city of Nazarovo, but also nearby settlements.
The festive cast also visited the cities of Ilansky, Kansk, and Achinsk. The culmination of the victorious procession of the “Victory Train” was the arrival on May 4 in the capital of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The legendary steam locomotive “Lebedyanka” greeted those gathered at each station with a solemn, drawn-out whistle. Thus began the historical reconstruction of the arrival of the train with the victorious soldiers in May 1945. Theatrical performances of the front-line propaganda brigade took place on a special stage – a railway platform, from which favorite songs of the war years were played.
With special warmth, the guests of the holiday received the choreographic composition “Cranes”, dedicated to the soldiers who did not return from the front. In Krasnoyarsk, a choreographic performance to music from the famous “Leningrad Symphony” by Dmitry Shostakovich created a feeling of complete immersion in the atmosphere of the war years.
Volunteers spoke about the rare exhibits of weapons placed on the train platforms that helped the Red Army soldiers defeat the enemy, as well as the role of the Krasnoyarsk Railway in the Great Patriotic War.
Children were given a unique opportunity to visit the driver's cabin of a steam locomotive. Everyone could take memorable photographs against the backdrop of a steam locomotive and carriages with military equipment.

Let us remind you that the “Victory Train” of the Krasnoyarsk Railway is a mobile historical exhibition consisting of platforms with military equipment, a heated carriage and a stage car for the propaganda team artists. It is driven by a steam locomotive – a symbol of the participation of railway workers in the Great Patriotic War. The platforms contain samples of the Red Army's weapons – the legendary shock weapons of turning-point battles: long-range howitzers, anti-aircraft and anti-tank guns.
The goal of the project is to preserve the history of the feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War and a tribute to everyone who defended our Motherland from fascism, including railway workers who took part in battles and home front workers.
