Nicușor Dan will be effective on Tuesday an official visit to the Republic of Moldova, an occasion with which the President of Romania will reconfirm the special character of the bilateral relationship, as well as the support for the efforts of European integration of the country led by Maia Sandu, announces the website of the Presidential Administration.
The visit of Nicușor Dan to the Republic of Moldova begins at 1:40 pm with the reception by the President Maia Sandu. Then he will have meetings with the President of Parliament, Igor Grosu, and with the Prime Minister of the Republic, Dorin Recean.
In the afternoon, Nicușor Dan will lay wreaths at “The Monument of Stephen the Great and Holy”, according to the visit program.
He will also participate in a dinner offered by Maia Sandu and the event “Common European Future of Romania and the Republic of Moldova”.
According to the announcement on the presidential site, during the discussions in Chisinau, Nicușor Dan will reconfirm the special character of the bilateral relationship.
A priority is represented, for both parties, by the implementation of all cross -border projects of major interest, especially energy and transport interconnections, under the conditions of an extended sectoral dialogue at all levels, the same source states.
The agenda of the discussions will also find the consolidation of the stability and resilience of the Republic of Moldova, in the context of the implications generated by the War taken by Russia against Ukraine and the increasingly complex hybrid threats, including in the perspective of the legislative elections to be organized in September.
