The deputy of the Krasnoyarsk City Council Ivan Petrov, representing the LDPR party, again recalled the initiative to check all officials on the lie detector. Citizens insist on introducing this idea into life.

Recall, on the eve of Krasnoyarsk, the mayor of Vladislav Loginov was detained. He is suspected of receiving a large bribe and transferred to Moscow for investigative actions.

According to Ivan Petrov, the detention of an official and searches in the city administration became a reason for the mass circulation of the Krasnoyarsk residents to the regional branch of the LDPR. The townspeople insist on continuing the struggle for the “universal” check of officials on a lie detector.

Ivan Petrov recalled that the whole last year he repeatedly declared an unprecedented scope of corruption in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, including the federal media.

“We again disgraced the whole country! To break this vicious circle, it is urgent to conduct a large -scale check on the polygraph of all officials who occupy leading posts. I repeat once again, this is the fundamental position of the LDPR and its chairman Leonid Slutsky: corruption is not just a crime, but a threat to national security. The official taking a bribe is a traitor to the homeland, because he destroys the state from the inside, ”Ivan Petrov emphasized.

Experts confirm that the initiative of the deputy reflects the request of the Company to transparency of the authorities and the fight against corruption.

“In conditions when distrust of power is high, such measures are perceived as real steps to cleanse it, even if their effectiveness raises questions from a legal point of view,” said Igor Sorokin, political scientist, founder of the Support and Development of Society.

Analysts believe that the mayor’s detention can significantly change the political landscape in the region: to strengthen the influence of system-opposition forces, such as the LDPR, and provoke a wave of inspections and personnel permits in the authorities.
