In the libraries of Krasnoyarsk and Norilsk, unique ethno -comics appeared “The Fatious Legends of the North”

The MTS digital ecosystem introduced in Krasnoyarsk a collection of ethno -commands with augmented reality “The revived legends of the North” according to the plots of the tales of the indigenous northern peoples of the region.

The presentation of the book was held as part of the event “Book Festival on the Yenisei” in the State Universal Scientific Library of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. You can now get acquainted with the printed version of the publication in the libraries of Krasnoyarsk, Norilsk and the village of Snezhnogorsk, and the digital and audio versions of the book are available in the MTS line.

The MTS project included ethnomakes on the plots of the original Nenets, Selkol, as well as Khanty and Mansi tales, which were collected from the words of the indigenous inhabitants of the Far North by the folklorists of the Ugra, Yamala, the Tyumen region, and then translated into Russian. Each fairy tale is supplemented by a virtual phrasebook, including educational and methodological material with the correct pronunciation of words in four languages. Most of the legends collected have not been previously published. AR-technologies built into the project will help in the study of national languages ​​and will revive the characters of the works.

“The Ethnomatic Committee“ The Fatious Legends of the North ”will take an account in the literature department in the languages ​​of the peoples of the world of the State Universal Scientific Library of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and each of our visitor will be able to study the tales of the northern peoples from the collection. The book will be a great help in the study of folklore, the traditions and language of the Nenets and Selkups living in the north of the region. Our funds are always happy to make such modern and interactive decisions as an ethnomix, implemented by MTS – with augmented reality effects, the opportunity not only to revive the characters with the help of a smartphone, but also to hear the Nenets and Selkolsk speech, ”said Tatyana Savelyeva, director of the State Universal Scientific Library of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Nenets – the indigenous northern people living in the Krasnoyarsk Territory mainly on the Taimyr peninsula. According to Rosstat, the number of Nenets in the region does not exceed 0.1 %. Most of the Selkups live in the Turukhansky district of the region, and these are even more small people. According to the last census, the number of nationality was 319 people. The Nenets language, like Selkol, are classified by UNESCO as those who are under threat of disappearance. The MTS project “The Fatious Legends of the North” is aimed at preserving and popularizing the language, culture and traditions of Nenets, Selkups and other indigenous peoples of the North among young people.

Soon, MTS ethnicomics will appear in other libraries of the region, including in the Krasnoyarsk Regional Children's Library, the Ostrovsky Children's Libraries Network, in the Norilsk children's libraries (including the Talny and Kayerkan regions) and the Snezhnogorsk village.

According to the All -Russian census, representatives of 100 indigenous peoples live in our region, including Dolgan, Evenks, Nenets, Ketov, Nganasan, Selkups and others.
