The basement of the Faculty of Law within the University of Bucharest flooded Monday during the strong storm that hit the capital, according to images that circulated on the students groups and were also received by HotNews.

“In our faculty there are several empty rooms in the session where the world goes to learn and I was to look for a room and I woke up with my feet in the pond,” said a student, under the protection of anonymity, for Hotnews. “I heard the sound of water flowing and I thought it was an open window, but I forgot to see where the pond started and I saw how it flowed from the wall.”

The students reported the situation of the security personnel, according to the student who spoke with Hotnews. The guard informed them that although they know the situation, they have nothing to do for the moment.

Reaction of the University of Bucharest

Contacted by Hotnews, the spokesman of the University of Bucharest, Bogdan Oprea, said that “at the level of the University of Bucharest, such incidents have not been reported.”

“If the students report to the press, not to the management, to answer, the press. We have no knowledge of any incident. When they report to the institution level, I will have other information,” Oprea added.

Bucharest, hit by a strong storm
