Gică Craioveanu (58 years old) said what an eccentric gesture he will make if Craiova University wins the title at the end of this Superleague season. The Oltenians have been waiting for the title since 1991, when they won the event with Sorin Cârțu on the bench and Craioveanu on the field.

In the Super League, Craiova University is in second place in the play-off, with 33 points, tied with the leader “U” Cluj.
Gică Craioveanu said that he would shave his head if Craiova University gets its hands on the title. He would have done the same if Romania had qualified for the World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada. This after, at the 1998 World Cup, he dyed his head blond, as a result of qualifying from the groups.
“I said that if we beat Turkey, I'll take my carpet off (no – my hair). I stayed with the carpet. It thinned out. If Craiova takes the title, I will take off my carpet and go to the center of Bucharest, with the shirt“, said Gică Craioveanu, at the Digi Sport League.
