US Vice-President JD Vance has expressed support for President Donald Trump in the context of charges on Thursday by billionaire Elon Musk, who claimed that Trump would appear on the list of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, reports EFE and Agerpres.
“First of all, it certainly no. Donald Trump did nothing wrong with Jeffrey Epstein,” Vance insisted in an interview with the American podcast Theo von.
The “Epstein's list”-which refers to the New Yorkez financier who committed suicide in 2019, after being accused of leading a sexual trafficking network in which they were involved-became widely known after rumors that celebrities and even presidents would have been involved in the illegal scheme.
The followers of the conspiracy theory speculated even that Epstein did not commit suicide, but was killed in his cell to prevent the name on his list from becoming public.
“Elon is novice in politics,” says Vance
Regarding the dispute between Trump and Musk, Vance said he remains the “loyal” of the president, although he qualified on Musk, the co -founder Tesla, “an incredible businessman” and who made “an effort” to “eradicate the waste, fraud and abuse” in the United States during the period when he was the head of the Department for Government Efficiency (Dog).
“I will always be loyal to the president and I hope that in time, Elon will return. Maybe it is not possible now, because things have taken proportions,” added the US Vice -President.
Moreover, Vance justified Musk's behavior in that the billionaire born in South Africa is “novice in politics” and “suffered a lot because of this”, so – said the US Vice -President – understands “frustration”.
“If you are a business leader, you are probably frustrated by the draft law (supported by Trump) because it involves more bureaucracy. Everything is slower, but I really think it is a big mistake to take the president in the way he did it and I think if he and the president are in a harsh confrontation,” he will be bad.
Trump and Musk, in open conflict
Until Thursday, Trump and Musk collaborated tightly. The South African businessman donated $ 250 million for the Republican candidacy for a new presidential term and told each other that they are “friends”. However, the departure of Magnat Doge began to raise questions about their relationship, which finally consumed three days ago.
Musk intensified his attacks on a Trump's fiscal megapro., And the situation finally exploded when the owner of the X platform accused the president of not decreasing the “list of Jeffrey Epstein” because his name appears on it, stirring a wave of reproaches.
The mogul of technology, which had so far seen how his support for Trump only increased the value of his companies, suggested that he would disassemble the Spacex Dragon of NASA, but gave back five hours later.
