Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to exclude the killing of the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamena, the BBC, The Times of Israel and Sky News reports.
In an interview with the American television station ABC News, Netanyahu said that any potential plan of assassination of the Iranian leader “will not escalate the conflict, but will end the conflict.”
And, directly asked if Israel will target the supreme leader of Iran, Netanyahu replied: “We do what we need to do.”
“I targeted their best scientists in the nuclear field,” he added. “We still have work in other places,” the Israeli prime minister continued.
Netanyahu also suggested that his decision to target Iran is taken “in the service of humanity” to protect against the alleged Iranian nuclear threat.
“Today is Tel Aviv, tomorrow is New York,” he said. “I understand America in the first place, I do not understand dead America,” said the Israeli leader.
Also, Netanyahu indicated that it does not take the messages of Iran seriously that the Tehran wants to put an end to the fights and resume nuclear negotiations.
“They want to continue these false negotiations in which they lie, deceive and draw on the US,” he said. “And, you know, we have very solid information in this regard,” said the Israeli prime minister.
Asked about the “FIRST America” isolationist wing of Trump's coalition, he replied: “We do not fight only our enemy. We fight against your enemy. For God, they chant” death of Israel, death. “
The Iranian nuclear program “is a threat to Israel,” Netanyahu continued, “as I said – for our Arabic neighbors, for Europe, for America. They shout” death “. And you say that” is not your job “? This is not myopia. This is total blindness.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu's clarifications came in the context in which he was asked about the opposition of US President Donald Trump compared to an Israeli Plan to eliminate the Supreme Iranian leader.
On Sunday, two US officials told Reuters, that Trump has blocked a plan of Israel to kill Ayatollah Ali Khamena.
“Did the Iranians kill an American? No. Until they do it, we don't even talk about attacking political leadership,” said one of the sources, a high -ranking official from the Washington Administration.
The two sources of Reuters, speaking under the condition of anonymity, said that high American officials were in constant communication with the Israeli side after the first wave of attacks launched by Israeli forces on Iran, on Thursday night.
According to sources, the Israelis reported that they had the opportunity to kill the Iranian leader, but Trump made him give up the plan.
Officials did not mention if Trump himself sent the message, but the US president frequently dialoged with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
