Love cherries, but every year the starlings eat it first? There is an unusual, but proven way to scare the birds – and for this you will not need either the mesh or scarecrow. Things that are dusting on the shelves from the beginning of the zero will be used.
Squorses and other birds adore juicy berries, but there is a simple way to scare them away. Computer disks suspended on a tree create bright sunlight that confuse the birds. This method, proven for years, does not require complex devices and retains the crop until complete maturation.
How to do it?
Gather the old CD or DVD – any, even scratched. Pass through the central hole a rope or strong thread. Dissage the wheels on the branches of the cherries or cherries in early June, while the berries still ripen. Place them so that they swing freely and reflect the light. Blacks from the discs scare the birds – the starlings take them for the threat and stay away. This is an environmentally friendly and budgetary method of protection, which does not harm either birds or trees.
Use 5 – 10 discs per tree, depending on its size. Make sure that the discs do not get confused in the branches – they must move. For a greater effect, you can add shiny tapes or foil.
