Trump threatens Russia with sanctions. “If I see that the war will not end”

When I see the moment when we can't make a system, and the Russian -Ukrainian war will not stop, I will be very, very hard – announced on Thursday US President Donald Trump, asked about when he realizes the threat of putting sanctions on Russia. On this day, the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is a visit to Washington.

Both leaders will talk, among others on topics regarding war in Ukraine, customs and situations in the Middle East.

Trump announced that the border date to which Moscow's agreement with Kiev must be developed, exists “in his mind.” He emphasized, however, that the consequences of his “hard” actions may be felt not only by Russia.

“To be honest, this may apply to both countries (also Ukraine – PAP). You know, you need two to tango, so we will be very hard – whether it is Russia or anyone else” – he added.

When asked about the attitude towards the law on sanctions for Russia, the Trump admitted that he had not read it in a detailed way. At the same time, he assured that Congress would be guided by his will. He also assessed that this is a “strict act”. (PAP)
