With huge stakes for both, Jannik Sinner (23 years old, 1 ATP) and Novak Djokovic (38, 6 ATP) will resume their balanced rivalry on Friday, at Roland Garros, where they will fight for a place in the final. The match in the semifinals on the Paris slag starts around 8:00 pm, will be livetext on GSP.ro and on TV on Eurosport.
Number 1 undeniable in the ATP standings, Sinner, has a series of 19 consecutive victories in the Grand Slam tournaments and follows its third major title in a row. The 23 -year -old player quickly imposed as a dominant force in the ATP circuit, and his recent successes in front of Djokovic adds pressure on the Serb shoulders.
Although the direct meetings are balanced, score 4-4, Sinner has won the last three matches, including the final from Shanghai last year. The Italian knows, however, that he does not have to sleep on one ear in front of Djokovic, who will participate in the 51st semi-final of Grand Slam, an absolute record, according to Sportal.bg.

“He has lately demonstrated that he has returned to his maximum form,” Sinner told Djokovic. “He plays very, very good, so it will be a tactical meeting, but very, very difficult. He is such an experienced player, with 24 Grand Slam titles. I think that says everything,” the Italian added.
After winning the 100th title in Geneva, Djokovic turned his attention to a new record at Roland Garros: the 25th Grand Slam title. The Serb is undefeated on this surface of 2022, after winning his third “crown” here in 2023, before the performance at the Paris Olympic Games, where he won the gold medal, the only distinction that lacked his career.
Arriving at 38, Djokovic continues to aspire to performance, which adds an additional intrigue to his confrontation with the world number 1, Sinner.
The history of this sport has offered me everything in life, it means a lot to me. I always try to write history, wherever I can … in all the tournaments I attend, in each training, every match and especially during the largest tournaments in the world. There is the opportunity to make even more history and this is one of my greatest motivations for competitions, to continue to work and to perfect myself
– Novak Djokovic, at Roland Garros
Sinner, meanwhile, seems extremely powerful since he returned after a three -month absence, when he was suspended for doping. He arrived in the final in Rome and had an almost impeccable path in Paris, becoming the only semi -finalist who has not lost any set and obtained the fourthest series of victories in the Grand Slam tournaments this century.
