Trump and Musk: a budget dispute
The dispute between Trump and Musk broke out against the background of the draft budget act “One Big Beautiful Bill”, supporting many Trump's election initiatives. Musk criticized her, claiming that he hits his interests, especially by limiting tax breaks for buyers of electric cars, which mainly applies to Tesla. Trump replied with accusations that Musk was guided by a private interest, not a concern for the state budget.
In retaliation, Musk supported the calls to Trump's impeachment and suggested his connections with Jeffrey Epstein, which caused a wave of controversy. Although Trump knew Epstein, evidence was never presented to his participation in the crimes of a financier.
The vice president of JD Vance also took the floor, who, despite his sympathy to Musk, clearly took Trump on the side of Trump: “It was President Trump who gained the trust of the movement we serve. I am proud that I can support him.”
