Andrzej Duda informed about a conversation with the President of the USA in social media. He emphasized that the main topic of the conversation were security issues within the North Atlantic Alliance.
Andrzej Duda also reported that the topic of presidential elections in Poland appeared in the conversation. “I assured President Trump that the victory of Karol Nawrocki in Polish elections guarantees the continuity of state policy in its key dimensions – especially in the field of continuing excellent transatlantic relations and Poland's close cooperation with the United States, both institutionally and personally with President Trump.”
Leaders before the NATO summit in Hague. Duda reveals the goals
On Monday, June 2, the leaders of the Bucharesteńska Nine States (B9) and Nordic countries met in Vilnius to discuss the strengthening of defense in front of the nearest NATO summit. President Andrzej Duda participating in the meeting expressed the hope that at the top of the Hague a decision would be made to increase defense expenses.
At the Vilnius Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, the Summit of the Leaders of the Bucharest Nine – nine Eastern Flanka NATO – took place on Monday – in which the leaders of five Nordic countries, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelnski and the Secretary of Nato Mark Rutte also took part.
Duda told journalists that the talks concerned “the most important issues related to security, especially before the NATO summit in The Hague” scheduled for June 24-26.
