The craftsmen with experience at work, but without a qualification diploma, will be helped to obtain the necessary documents, free of charge, through a project carried out by the Chamber of Commerce and AJOFM Botosani. This initiative is also a rescue for those with a low level of studies.

In Romania, many people have been working for many years in a field, without having a qualification certificate. In particular, it is either craftsmen such as masons, installers, faiences, or employees in agriculture and animal husbandry, who have years of experience in the field, but without hand in hand. This often means lower wages and fewer benefits for employees. To blame this situation is also the low level of workers' studies, a level that does not allow them to do even qualifying courses. Botosani, for example, is one of the counties that face this problem. About one third of the county's population does not have even 10 classes. Under these conditions, the authorities thought of a solution to help people with experience in the field of work, but without a qualification certificate.
Certified only with practical test
Botoșani Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the County Agency for Employment Botosani has accessed a project with European funds to help the trades with experience to acquire a qualification certificate. They will be able, for free, to support a skill and skills in the field in which they operate. If I manage to convince the commission, I receive the certificate. Without following qualifying courses, without theoretical tests and especially without being conditioned by the level of studies.
“We are in the contracting phase of a project with European funding, in partnership with AJOFM Botosani. Through this project, some of the employees who are already in the field of work, in Botosani, receive an evaluation and certification of the competences they already have. that competence.says Marian Rotaru, director of the Botoșani Chamber of Commerce.

For the craftsmen from the rural area, in particular, for those who did not have the chance to continue their studies, but they learned a job at work, the project is a heavenly hand. “I put tiles, tile, I do masonry. I work for 25 years in the field. I have been in Spain. I have only eight classes. Where I do school with gray hair. But I do a good job, no one was crying.confesses a villager from the Units.
Victor, is 35 years old and lives in a village near Dorohoi. It is a skilled mason. Many people are looking for him, including the neighboring communes. Like the village of Unțeni, he was left abroad. Stopped with school at eight classes. He has no qualification, but he has been working in construction since 16 years. “I always worked in the masonry. The first time they took me like Salahor. But I stayed, I saw how the trades do. I asked them to teach me. I knew quickly, I started to work alone.says Botosănean.
Win-win situation for employee and employer
The representatives of the Chamber of Commerce say that this form of qualifying on experienced craftsmen, some without the necessary studies for the qualification courses, is the winning recipe for both employees and employers. “A qualification also involves some advantages for the employee. Some bigger requirements to the employer and not only. In their turn, the entrepreneurs solve their problem qualified. In addition, there is also the obligation imposed by the legislative norms in force to improve at certain periods of their own employees.”adds the director of the Chamber of Commerce.
