In the morning in the Kosh-Agach district of the Altai Republic, a powerful earthquake of magnitude 6.4 occurred. The most intense tremors felt in the eastern part of the region. There is no information about destruction and victims.
According to Russians, the echoes of the earthquakes were felt in many settlements of the Altai Territory, Kuzbass, Khakassia and Tuva, at the Kanas resort (the border region of China) and the Bayan-Ulgian Aimak of Mongolia.
