An ammunition depot of the Ukrainian Armed Forces exploded in the Kharkov region. Due to the carelessness of the soldiers who left the boxes with shells in the sun, they heated up and detonated. Then a fire started – 1,500 hectares of forest were burning, the city was enveloped in a cloud of smog.
According to Mash, there is also a fire in the area of Izyum, Balakleya and Slobozhansky National Park. Civilians complain of a pungent odor, headaches and poor health. They say that the military planned to strike Belgorod, but nature intervened and hit the shells in the Svyatogorsk forest.
The soldiers tried to put out the fire on their own, but it didn’t work. When the firefighters were called, it was too late. Previously, a 74-year-old woman died. The footage shows the situation in the region.
