Ukraine has expired the payment of $ 665 million for GDP trunts. The Ministry of Finance called the reason

The fact that Ukraine must pay this amount is said in a statement published on the website of the Irish Stock Exchange. However, the Ministry of Finance referred to a moratorium on payments on these instruments of August 27, 2024, because they did not reach the debt restructuring agreements.

The department also recalled that this would not affect other obligations to bonds of an external state loan, because the provisions on Cross-Defolt were seized from the conditions of state derivatives. The ministry also noted that they will continue consultations.

In April, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Special Committee of GDP-Warrant Holders held meetings and exchanged proposals for the restructuring of the debt, but then did not come to an agreement.

Earlier, Financial Times warned of the risk of default. According to media reports, if they do not agree with creditors, the Ukrainian government will have to decide whether the default for the payment of these $ 600 million.

The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergei Marchenko noted that Ukrainian GDP trucks created for economic reality, which is no longer there.
