The leader of the extreme Dutch straight Geert Wilders has threatened to cause the right-wing government to be dismissed, which he said he did not support his ideas for stricter immigration policies, writes Reuters.

The populist anti-Muslim Wilders, who won the latest elections in the Netherlands, asked for immediate support for his proposals to completely stop the immigration of those who come to ask for asylum, to repatriate Syrian refugees and to closed the asylums centers.

The coalition partners did not adopt his proposals and said that it is the task of the Minister of Migration, which comes from the formation of Wilders, the Freedom Party (PVV), to come up with specific proposals.

After meeting on Monday night with leaders of ruling parties, Wilders said this is not enough to continue PVV support.

“We have a serious problem. We will resume the subject Maiine in the morning, but things do not look good,” said Wilders.

The coalition led by the PVV had difficulty in reaching consensus from taking power in July 2024 and must handle difficult decisions in the coming months, including a possible historical increase in defense to reach the new NATO targets.

Recent polls show that Wilders lost from the entrance to government, his party reaching the coalition between the Labor and Green Party, which the second number of mandates in the current Parliament.
