Failure of the nuclear power plant in Hungary. Supplies almost half of the country

The technical problem affected the fourth block block. The announcement indicates that a team of experts has already been directed to the place of failure who are working on solving the problem.
The Hungarian Specialist Portfolio portal pointed out that the failure does not create a problem of supply security, because in the morning there has been an increase in solar energy production, which now results in a surplus of supply on the domestic electricity market.
This is the only nuclear power plant in Hungary
The last similar unplanned reduction in the supply of energy at the nuclear power plant was recorded on April 24, when the third block was lost in the third block of 110 MW due to the failure of mechanical devices.
The only Hungarian nuclear power plant in Paksu in Central Hungary has four active blocks with a total power of 2000 MW, which cover over 40 percent. domestic electricity demand. They started work in the mid -1980s, and their withdrawal was planned for the mid -1930s. The government in Budapest, however, wants to extend the period of their exploitation by another 20 years.
The Russian state group Rosatom is currently expanding two new 1200 MW power plant blocks each. This is one of the key energy projects of the government of Viktor Orban. The value of the entire investment is to amount to about EUR 12 billion, and 80 percent The costs will be covered by a Russian loan.
