A two-year-old child died after being injured on an inflatable slide located in a children's play area in Satu Mare. The doctors tried for dozens of minutes to revive him, but they were unable to save his life.

The tragedy took place on Friday, May 29, in the center of Satu Mare, where a child of about two years lost his life after an accident in a children's play area set up behind the “Someșul” store, during the events organized on the occasion of City Days.
The child was on an inflatable slide at the time of the incident, along with three other minors, who, according to the first information, would have bumped into each other during the game. For now, it is not clear under what exact circumstances the child was injured, nor what injuries caused his death.
Immediately after the incident, the child's father would have taken him in his arms and would have stayed with him while waiting for the intervention crews, press notes.
Several police and ambulance crews arrived at the scene, and the rescuers immediately started resuscitation maneuvers, the child being in cardiorespiratory arrest. For 80 minutes they tried in vain to revive the little one, unfortunately, in the end they had to declare him dead.

The lifeless body was transported to the County Hospital's Prosecutor's Office, where the necropsy will be performed, a procedure that will determine the exact cause of death.
The authorities have opened an investigation and are trying to determine exactly how the incident occurred.
The reaction of the Satu Mare City Hall
Shortly after the incident, the City Hall of Satu Mare announced the suspension of the activity of all carousels and playgrounds located in the areas dedicated to City Days.
The announcement was made through social networks, and the representatives of the local administration specified that, in the future, this type of entertainment will be totally prohibited in the events organized by the municipality.
“Satu Mare City Hall has decided that, on City Day, all the carousels and playgrounds in the locations dedicated to the event will be closed. Moreover, in the future, this type of entertainment will be completely eliminated!”, the local authorities sent.

Unfortunately, this is not the only incident related to inflatable slides. Last year, on June 1, in a park in Eforie Nord, such a slide deflated, leaving five children trapped inside, one of them arrived at the hospital with a broken hand.
