Video Miss World 2025 contest has chosen its winner: OPAL SUChata Chuangsri / Who represented Romania

Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand was crowned Miss World on Saturday in India, where the international competition this year took place, news.ro.

Chuangsri ranked at a group of 108 competitors at the contest held in the city of Hyderabad in southern India. Hasset Dereje Adssu from Ethiopia ranked 2nd, and Miss Poland was in 3rd place.

Chuangsri received his crown from last year's winner, Krystyna Pyszková.

Born on September 30, 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Opal Suchata Chuangsri was raised in a family of hoteliers.

He attended the Kajonkietsuksa school and the Triam Udom Suksa school, where he perfected his communication skills and cultural fluency. Miss World 2025 speaks, in addition to Thai, English and Chinese.

Her profile at the Miss World contest says she is a student in international relations and aims to become an ambassador. Suchata is also interested in psychology and anthropology.

Suchata has a special talent to play the reverse ukule and has more dogs and pets.

At 16, she started a campaign – “Opal for Her”. It started after discovering a benign swelling in the breast, which it had to remove surgical. She said that this outlines the mission to accountable women through knowledge and medical assistance.

She told the jurors that she hopes that this beauty contest will promote her cause. “I think with the title of Miss World, in the future, I could certainly have a bigger impact and help other projects that need.”

She also said that success means “living your life and creating a better life for the people around you.”

The 72nd edition of the Miss World beauty contest was hosted by Miss World 2016 Stephanie del Valle and the Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar.

India hosted the beauty contest last year. Nandini Gupta in India has left the competition after reaching the last 20 competitors. Six Indian women won the title, including Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000) and Manushi Chillar.

The representative of Romania was Alexandra-Beatric Cătălin, a 23-year-old, a graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, specialization Management.
