– After ten years I will end my second presidential term. I will be replaced by the new president of the Republic of Poland and this journey here, to Kiev, is also a farewell, closing journey for me – said the Polish President during the Saturday conference.
– I did not expect me to meet such a great honor that the president during this ceremony today – next to the wives and mothers of fallen soldiers and next to the front heroes – he will also distinguish me, the president from Poland, the Order of Freedom, the highest decoration that Ukraine gives to representatives of other countries – he added. He noted that he was a great honor for him.

President Andrzej Duda in Kiev: I had never any doubt
He emphasized that cooperation with the President of Ukraine and supporting him in defense of the country against Russian aggression was an extremely important time during the presidency.
– I have never had any doubts, as the President of the Republic of Poland, that he would stand at Ukraine represented by President Volodymyr Zelnski is very important for Poland's security – said the president.
During the visit, Andrzej Duda took part in the celebrations of the constitution of Ukraine falling on Saturday.

– Poland has always been with us on all squares in the European Union, in NATO, in dialogue with other partners – said Zelanski.
– Thank you once again for everything we have done together. Thank you for your help, thank you for shared, important decisions made in a timely manner, thank you for this visit – said Zelanski, turning to Andrzej Duda.
He emphasized that for Ukraine it is extremely important to maintain such a nature of the relationship. He said that he had a very important conversation with Andrzej Duda about how relations between the two countries would develop.
– We talked about security issues, diplomacy, possible decisions at the European Union level and coordination with partners in NATO – said the President of Ukraine.
Reconstruction of Ukraine. Andrzej Duda: Over 2,000 Polish companies express interest
The presidents of Poland and Ukraine also talked about arms cooperation. The President of Poland pointed out that it could take place, among others in the field of drone development.
He also noted that Polish companies are interested in participating in the reconstruction of Ukraine. “Over 2,000 Polish companies express interest,” he said. Duda and Zelanski discussed the provisions of the NATO summit in Hague. – We both expressed great satisfaction because of the decision to increase the level of defense expenditure to a total of 5 percent. GDP, 3.5 percent directly to defense, and 1.5 percent for broadly understood safety – said Duda.
The President of Ukraine also answered the question about building relations with the Polish President Elekt Karol Nawrocki.
– As long as Andrzej (Duda – ed.) Is the president, we cannot talk about inviting another president, but it is very important for us to preserve strict relations, dialogue between our countries – he emphasized. – We will invite the new president to Ukraine, and if he invites me to Poland, I will visit Poland – he noted.
