In 2025, the Kirikov school of the Pirovsky municipal district was given the status of the Academy of School Initiative Budgeting. This was told in the Ministry of Finance of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The corresponding decision was made following the results of the competition of the Research Financial Institute of the Ministry of Finance of Russia. Such a status is assigned to educational organizations for significant pedagogical and scientific-methodological work in the implementation of SKIB.
School initiative budgeting is a modern practice aimed at involving students in making decisions on the distribution of funds and improving the school environment. The guys offer and discuss ideas, carry out votes and implement the selected projects.
In addition to the Kirikov school of the Pirovsky municipal district, five more Russian schools received honorary status. In the next three years, the Academy of SKIB will be centers of methodological work, sites for the professional community and guides of the best practices in the regions.
“For the Krasnoyarsk Territory, this is an important stage in the development of initiative budgeting in schools. We form such a practice in the region, and obtaining the status of the Academy confirms that the gained experience already gives the result. Initiative projects develop teamwork skills, responsibility, increase financial literacy and make it possible to influence the life of the school and their village, ”said Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bakhar
Recall that the Kirikovo school has been implementing the practices of SKIB since 2023 with the methodological support of the Institute of State and Municipal Administration under the Government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. During this time, students developed seven projects, two of which – a sports locker room and a gazebo for relaxation – were supported by a majority vote and successfully implemented. Other ideas formed the basis of the improvement of the foyer and the Hall of the School, made with the support of the investor.
