“During the assessment, no circumstances were established indicating that Volkov or Volkov’s entourage are assisting the Russian regime and its aggression against Ukraine. Thus, the representative of the Russian opposition has a valid temporary permit and can continue to reside in Lithuania,” Kondratovich noted.
The head of the migration department indicated that the assessment was a “warning and yellow card” to Volkov.
“From the very beginning of the war in Ukraine, Lithuania supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine, its right to sovereignty, and we hope that Russian citizen Volkov will also respect the country that accepted him… and appreciate this position. In the future, if he does not comply with the standards of humanity, political culture and communication accepted in Lithuania, the decision in this regard may be different,” Gaspere added.

Volkov is the former head of the Russian Anti-Corruption Foundation created by Navalny. The scandal was led to by correspondence on Facebook with his former colleague Anna Tiron, who is now part of the RDK, which is fighting in Ukraine.
