An allergist-immunologist Natalya Popova told what cosmetics can provoke cancer.
“Conserviers such as formaldehyde and formalin donors are often used to prevent bacteria growth, but they are very toxic in themselves. The effect of formaldehyde provokes the development of contact dermatitis, respiratory diseases and may well cause cancer, ”the Saratov 24 television channel quotes the doctor with reference to News.ru.
In addition, parabens are dangerous. They are often used in the cosmetic industry to maintain the freshness of the product. According to Popova, these substances are easily penetrated into the skin and can imitate estrogen hormones, which violates the work of the endocrine system. This is fraught with the development of allergies and dermatitis.
The doctor also recalled that mineral oil and paraffin create a dense film on the skin. It prevents the normal breathing of the skin and metabolism. The clogged pores can lead to the appearance of acne.
