The announcement was made on Facebook on Thursday evening by the executive director of the Concordia Patron Confederation.

“Two things are missing at this moment. A selfie with Mr. President Nicușor Dan and enough time to respond to all the messages and requests I receive at this time. It is true that President Nicușor Dan proposed to me to be his presidential counselor for economic and social issues and after the short time I had to reflect. Dan and put my energy in the service of the public interest.

“I have a lot of confidence in the new president of Romania”

Radu Burnete says that, until the entry into force of the appointment decree – on June 1 – he will have a short period of transition from Concordia to the Presidential Administration where Dragoș Anastasiu remains honorary counselor until June 30.

“However, I have already begun to support the president. At Concordia I am no longer involved in decisions or in the public communication of the organization, but it is a matter of respect for my colleagues and my work to leave a house in order to leave. I am very proud of what I have achieved and all my colleagues that will be in Romania. Presidential transparent and open to dialogue and consultation with the company. he said the executive director of the Concordia Patron Confederation.

“We have a state to reform”

Radu Burnete sent a message to those who supported him, but also to those who attacked him:

“” I saw that critical things were written to me. I am grateful to all those who jumped to defend me and not at all angry those who considered that they can be abolished from the beginning. I do not want to answer and I prefer that in time to talk to me. Democracy comes with something to the pack. State to reform ”.

“We must first make our homework at home.”

We recall that, before the second round of the presidential elections, Radu Burnete pointed out that bureaucracy is one of the problems in the absorption of European funds.

If we fail to absorb a lot, what claims can we pick up in 2027? Brussels will say: We can't give you more. The European Commission comes with some flexibility mechanisms, but we must first of all do our homework. (…) I want to leave you with the essence of our message. The problem we have in Romania today, on this side of bureaucracy, is that we do not check the result. We want to check every work time, which is a nonsense. We have to give some money, to make sure they are not stolen, but they are spent correctly, but to check that the entrepreneur or the public administrator has achieved what he said. That he did so in a hundred hours or four hundred hours or he did it anyway, this is less relevant to Romania. We must check the result and this is a very difficult change of mentality. Because it must also take place at the audit authority and the management authority and the intermediate bodies“, said the executive director of the Concordia Employers Confederation.

In his opinion, if this change of philosophy is not made, the speed of absorption of European funds will never be increased.

At the end of last year, the director of the Patronal Confederation “Concordia” accuses the Government of including new taxes and eliminates tax facilities without a private discussion.
