In Krasnoyarsk, on All-Russian Figure Skating Day, 27 thousand residents visited free skating rinks. This was reported by the press service of the city administration.
On Thursday, January 8, master classes, fun starts, demonstration performances and free public skating took place in ice palaces, city skating rinks, hockey rinks and ice rinks of sports schools.
In Krasnoyarsk, master classes with figure skating athletes and coaches and free skating sessions took place at the city’s main ice rinks: in Tatyshev Park, at the skating rink on Peace Square, at the Central Stadium, at the Lokomotiv and Rassvet stadiums.
The main venue of the festival was the Crystal Arena ice palace. Demonstration performances by the ice sports school, relay races and free skating took place here.
All-Russian Figure Skating Day is celebrated on the birthday of the first Russian Olympic figure skating champion, Nikolai Panin-Kolomenkin.
