Poll Shows Seven Parties in Parliament, Zelensky and Zaluzhny Lead Presidential Race

A recent survey reveals that seven political parties are poised to enter the Ukrainian parliament, while President Volodymyr Zelensky and General Valerii Zaluzhny emerge as the frontrunners in the upcoming presidential elections. Conducted by the Future Research Foundation between September 19 and 22, 2026, the poll highlights a significant public demand for peace negotiations. However, opinions diverge markedly on acceptable concessions in these discussions.
According to the findings, 72.2% of respondents favor pursuing peace talks, while 20.8% oppose such efforts. Additionally, 48.5% consider compromises and negotiations for a ceasefire as viable options for ending the ongoing conflict. In contrast, 18.6% of those surveyed advocate for continuing the war until Ukraine regains its borders as of 1991 without any compromises.
The survey utilized Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI) and was conducted among a random selection of 1,203 participants aged 18 and older across 23 regions of Ukraine and the capital, Kyiv. The maximum theoretical margin of error is ±2.9% with a confidence level of 95%.
