He created the AI tool for cheating on job interviews. “Everyone will do it soon”

Chungin “Roy” Lee does not hide that he wants to revolutionize the way people get a job. Or rather bypassing this process completely. The creator of the Clludy application, which allows candidates to use AI during recruitment talks, not only does not see anything wrong in it, but believes that it will soon become the norm.

Earlier, Lee became famous for creating a tool that allowed “download” during remote tests and technical conversations, primarily for programmers. The idea caught a lot of trouble for him. At the beginning of 2024, he was removed from the University of Columbia. Today he claims that everything is going exactly in this direction – cheating.

CLUEY, his current project, is no longer limited to testing for engineers. The application is to be – as Lee says – “a tool for cheating everywhere, also in live conversations”. In one of the promotional recordings you can see how he uses it to fall well on a date and receives in real time hints what to say.

“We are divided by an increasingly terrifying gap between those who use AI and those who try to condemn it” -Lee writes in an email to Business Insider. “This difference then translates into productivity, education, opportunities and finally to the property” – he adds.

“We say:” Fuck at every opportunity “, because, paradoxically, we believe that this is the only way to create a just future – he states.

In an interview with EO LEE, he develops his views. In his opinion, when everyone starts using AI to support conversations and meetings, it will cease to be seen as a fraud.

Are there changes in looking for a job?

“It will simply be a new way of functioning of people and their thinking,” he explains.

According to him, traditional recruitment talks, especially those that focus on checking knowledge and skills, will soon go down in history. They will be replaced by more general conversations about cultural matching, and the competences will decide the data collected by AI.

“I can already know what you worked on, or at least you can know it. He knows the quality of your projects, knows your strengths. If there is a compliance with the requirements of a given position, a half -hour conversation is enough to see if we get along,” says Lee.

Sam in Cluely recruitment based on similar assumptions.

To be honest, I don't know if interviews are still needed at all. Today it's just a conversation. We check if you fit the team, we talk about what you did before, and that's all “ – he describes.

It will go even further

But Lee goes even further. In his opinion, artificial intelligence will not only change recruitment, but will affect the way people will think, learn and talk.

“Each of my thought depends on the information I have at the moment. What happens when not only my memories will be available, but all knowledge of humanity, gathered and searched by AI?” – he asks.

He even imagines a situation in which AI tells the interlocutor condensed information about the other person – based on his digital trace.

“What happens when artificial intelligence begins to help me think in real time?” – He wonders. “The whole way people function and interact will change radically,” he assesses.

Cluely is to be the first step to tame this change for users.

“The pace of social development explodes as soon as everyone understands that using AI is everyday life. And that's what Cluely wants to achieve: show that we are all using it,” says Lee.

There is no place for hesitation in his vision.

Mass use of AI is the only way to prevent the PRO AI group to dominate the opponents of technology in everything that can and cannot be measured” – he argues.
