Orlen is optimistic about its chances in arbitration with the American company Venture Global, which is in dispute over LNG supplies from the United States, said Orlen's president Ireneusz Fąfara during a press conference on Thursday.

“The situation with Venture Global is dynamic. A year ago, Shell lost the arbitration, while recently BP won its arbitration. We had a meeting with the lawyers who represent us in the arbitration, after this meeting we are optimistic about the chances, but it is a large and complicated process. According to the schedule presented by our lawyers, we expect that the hearings will take place in about a year, in the third or fourth quarter of next year. Thanks to what happened with BP, we are looking at this process optimistic,” said Ireneusz Fąfara.
“After the hearings, there is still a period of about half a year to issue a final verdict, so it is not expected that the Venture Global case will end in 2026,” added Sławomir Jędrzejczyk, vice-president of Orlen. (PAP Business)
