A driver of ride-sharing suspected of selling cocaine to customers was detained. What did the police found at the searches

A 51-year-old ride-sharing driver, suspected of having marketed cocaine during the clients, was detained by DIICOT prosecutors-Calarasi Territorial Office, under the charge of high-risk drug trafficking. The man was presented on Tuesday, May 27, to the Calarasi Court with a proposal for a preventive arrest.
From the administered evidence it turned out that, in 2025, the man would have purchased, owned and sold cocaine, to consumers from Bucharest and Călăraşi county.
“The research carried out revealed that the interaction between the person concerned and the clients would have been done through online messaging applications, followed by the marketing of cocaine, in his car, during some Ride-Sharin regimeG ”, explains the Romanian Police.
What did the police found at the searches
On May 26, 2025, a search mandate was implemented, being discovered and raised from the home of the one concerned, located in Bucharest, different quantities of powder substances, several tablets having as active substance Alprazolam, objects wearing traces of substance, an electronic precision scales, as well as other means.

Subsequently, the DIICOT prosecutors – the Calarasi Territorial Office ordered the detention of the person concerned.
On Tuesday, the judge of rights and freedoms of the Calarasi Tribunal with a proposal for a preventive arrest, for 30 days, was notified.
We recall that the police in Arad, together with the DIICOT prosecutors, carried out 22 searches in the county on Tuesday, in a drug trafficking and psychoactive substances. Seven people were detained for 24 hours.
An 82-year-old woman from Harghita is investigated for drug trafficking, after the cocaine sold by it was discovered on a 50-year-old woman, flagrantly caught at Miercurea-Ciuc.
