The interim leader of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, told Antena 1 that his party will make a decision on the possibility of entering the government after discussions “about programs, projects and the direction in which Romania will go in the short and medium term”.
“We have red lines that we cannot pass, but it is normal to see what the vision of the new president, in detail, and discuss a lot about these things, and then present them to my colleagues, and make the decision to know. This is the approach (…). of political battle, in the good sense of the word.
The PSD leader said he appreciates the “opening” shown by Nicușor Dan, including in the campaign.
“I appreciate the opening that the new president shows. I also understood from the election campaign, not only now, that he wants and also wanted (…) a pro -European majority, but that does not mean that certain things I mentioned, namely those red lines, we can add that, Grindeanu.
Asked if he would enter the PSD in the government if he receives the position of prime minister, he replied: “I said from last March, from the National Political Council, that we do not negotiate, because we do not claim anything. We want to go with programs, projects. Depending on what is expected and what is accepted from what we propose.”
Sorin Grindeanu argues that “at this moment, the PSD does not discuss functions and does not discuss people”, but “he wants to discuss programs, projects and the direction in which Romania will go in the short and medium term.”.
