“I was surprised by the reaction.” Mentzen writes after meeting with Sikorski and Trzaskowski
Candidates in the presidential election – Karol Nawrocki and Rafał Trzaskowski – talked to Sławomir Mentzen (Confederation) on his YouTube channel. Trzaskowski after a Saturday conversation with Mentzen with him and people from his staff and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski saw beer in the Mentzen Pub in Toruń. “For Poland that connects, does not divide,” wrote Sikorski on platform X under the attached video from this meeting.
The meeting of politicians was critically commented on by numerous right -wing politicians. Krzysztof Bosak in the Zero channel emphasized that he himself would definitely not go to a beer with Trzaskowski at the finish of the campaign. “Especially in a public place, because it is obvious that it will be used politically. But as you can see, everyone can have their own price” He assessed. However, former MP of the Confederation Robert Winnicki wrote: “I'm going for a walk, I have to spread it.”
Then Mentzen himself referred to the discussion on his profile on the X. “After a conversation with Trzaskowski, I learned that with their people they were going to my pub, where Sikorski was already sitting before. They asked me if I would join them. The accusation, but I do not agree with him.
According to the leader of the Confederation, going to be a beer can help in the election of Nawrocki, because “it demobilizes the left, encourages the right to speak.” “And then? I don't know what the future will bring, but it may turn out that in two years it will depend on the confederation who will rule in Poland,” he wrote.
Mentzen assured that he is not going to “be masked by PiS or PO.” “I intend to meet with every important politician who will want to meet. I would go for beer, wine or coffee with Kaczyński, Tusk, Zandberg or Czarzasty. If someone bothers someone, I can't help it,” he said.
“It would be better if fragments flew after Twitter, as he admits to many harmful views and plans than that I drink beer with him. I was surprised by the scale of reaction to this beer” – he added.
In the first round of presidential elections Trzaskowski won 31.36 percent, and Nawrocki – 29.54 percent Mentzen as a confederation candidate obtained the third result (14.81 percent).
