The university has already filed a lawsuit at the Federal Court in Massachusetts – says “Financial Times”. According to Harvard representatives, the last moves of the US administration are in their opinion contrary to the constitution.
“They also threaten the future of thousands of students and scientists at Harvard and serve as a warning for countless other people at universities throughout the country who came to America to study and fulfill their dreams” – says university president Alan Garber.
Let us remind you that the Ministry of National Security announced on Thursday that he took away from Harvard University the right to receive foreign students in connection with the refusal to transfer materials regarding students participating in protests. The decision also prohibits further education at the university already adopted to students.
The head of the ministry Kristi Noem informed about the decision.
The department's official statement also states that the Harvard authorities “created a dangerous campus environment, allowing anti -American, protestering agitators to harass and physical attacks on many people”, and that the university “was involved in coordinated activities with the communist party of China.”
In a letter to the university, the ministry accused Harvard of the refusal to transfer materials regarding all potentially illegal foreign students, their dangerous behavior, disciplinary files, and their participation in protests.
