As emphasized by the Deputy Prime Minister and the head of the Ministry of National Defence, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, during the contract signing ceremony, this is the largest contract of this type in the Polish Army, concerning the delivery of approximately 250 modernly equipped military ambulances.

– The word “paramedic” does not reflect the truth about this vehicle. It will be very roomy because we will be able to transport up to four people lying down at once or five people, some sitting, some lying. It will be possible to provide all emergency procedures there, including life support, using respirators and the most advanced medical equipment, he noted.

The multi-carrier sanitary vehicle will be intended to perform medical evacuation tasks at all levels of medical protection, on all types of roads and off-road, in various climatic and terrain conditions typical of Europe. All vehicles will be equipped with medical equipment and radio sets, compatible with allied means of communication, including Polish-made radio stations.

As it was announced during the ceremony at the AMZ-Kutno headquarters, the delivery of the first ambulances is expected in 2027.

The head of the Ministry of National Defense emphasized that AMZ-Kutno is a Polish company that has been producing and adapting vehicles for uniformed services and emergency services for many years, but the army is its largest cooperator. He recalled that last year the Ministry of Defense signed a contract with it – as part of a consortium with the Military Institute of Communications, the Military Institute of Armament Technology and the Military Institute of Chemistry and Radiometry – for the supply of light, armored Kleszcz reconnaissance carriers. Their deliveries to the army are scheduled to start next year.

– Kleszcz is the best, it is implemented with Polish technical thought, tested, implemented and the first copies are already being produced. They will be ready in a few months, we will be happy to collect them from here. We will want to place orders for more, because this is a great need of the Polish army – he noted.

The Minister of National Defense announced that the contract signed on Thursday between the Armament Agency and AMZ-Kutno regarding sanitary vehicles is worth over PLN 800 million, which is a huge investment in the Polish company.

– This is also a huge expense related to the taxes of our compatriots, whom I would like to thank once again very much for contributing to the development of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland and for having such great acceptance for them – emphasized Kosiniak-Kamysz. (PAP)
