Caroline Garcia (31 years old, 145 WTA), former world number 4, announced her withdrawal from tennis, after a complicated period in which the results were not as expected. The Frenchwoman will play for several tournaments, including Roland Garros.
A few days before the start of the second Grand Slam tournament of the year, Caroline Garcia announced her withdrawal from tennis. The year 2024 was complicated for the 2022 winner of the Champions Tournament, which faced mental health problems, speaking several times about the negative messages he received from the fans.

Caroline Garcia: “Tennis was more than winning or losing. It was about love or hatred.”
Garcia returned to tennis in early 2025, but the results were below expectations, and the Frenchman made the decision to withdraw. The 31 -year -old athlete has made the announcement through social networks.
Dear Tennis, it's time to say goodbye. After 15 years of competition at the highest level and more than 25 in which I have invested almost every second of my life in this, I feel ready to start a new chapter.
My trip to tennis wasn't always easy. From the first days, tennis has been more than earning or losing. Was about love or hate, happiness or anger.
However, I am deeply grateful for this trip. For everything that gave me tennis and for how much it helped me become a strong, passionate and hard-working woman.
But now it's time for something else. My personal body and goals need it. However, it's not ready yet – for now. I have a few more tournaments to play. The first is home, Roland Garros. The 14th consecutive year in which I am part of this tournament. And the last one.
So for my tennis family that will be in the area: let's see again, dream and fight together.
In the coming days, I will share more about what's next to me. But for now, I just want to focus on living these last days to the maximum as a professional.
Thank you all for your support. See you on the ground in just a few days
