The announcement comes after the Trump administration's decision to completely revoke Harvard University to enroll students from other countries.
In a statement sent on Friday, the Romanian Embassy in Washington states that “it closely follows the evolutions generated by the US administration decision to revoke the Harvard program for international students and academic exchanges (SEVP), the implementation details, respectively its consequences on the Romanian Student Community”.
The Romanian ambassador in the United States, Andrei Muraru, said for Hotnews that Harvard studies 34 Romanians, enrolled in the bachelor's, master and doctoral studies.
“We are concerned about the fate of these outstanding young people and we will do all the possible steps in addition to the American partners to clarify their status and their families,” stresses the Romanian Embassy in the statement.
