A resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory was sentenced to 12 years in a colony for the brutal murder of a cohabitant. This was told in the prosecutor's office of the region.

In April 2024, a 60-year-old resident of the Dzerzhinsky district quarreled with his lover. Both were drunken. The verbal conflict led to the fact that the man decided to burn his girlfriend alive. In the courtyard of the house, he took a plastic bottle of gasoline, then returned to the apartment, doused them with a roommate and settled it.

The woman received multiple burns. A neighbor who extinguished the flame and called an ambulance came to the rescue. The victim was taken to the hospital, where she died.

“Parents often drank and in a state of intoxication came into conflicts, fought, but never called the police. They were also prosecuted for crimes committed against each other, ”said the 23-year-old daughter of a married couple.

The prosecutor’s office explained why the residents of the Dzerzhinsky district were convicted earlier. In 2008, the victim hit the convict with a knife. She was sentenced to conditional deprivation of liberty for attempting to inflict serious harm to health. Then in 2012, on the basis of jealousy, the man beat his opponent and strangled his wife. For the threat of murder, he was involved in Art. 119 of the Criminal Code. Subsequently, the case was stopped due to the reconciliation of the parties.

The man did not agree with the accusation of the murder of his wife. He stated that the woman doused himself. According to the defendant, he gave her to smell the liquid, and the victim hit him on the arm and gasoline hit her. When the man lit a cigarette, she flared up. However, being in intensive care, the woman managed to tell how everything was.

“I didn't want that. Before my daughter and myself, my conscience is clear. Of course, this is very painful, ”the man said in court.

The man was found guilty of murder with particular cruelty. He will serve in a maximum security colony with a limitation of freedom for 1.5 years.
