Russia announced on Wednesday that its defense systems broke over 260 Ukrainian drones, some of which were approaching Moscow, and the airports were closed for a short time to ensure flight safety, Reuters reports.

No victims have been reported.

While Russia, Ukraine, the US and European powers discuss ways to end the conflict in Ukraine, the battles intensified in some parts of the front, and the Drone war continued.

In a series of ads on Telegram, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that at least 262 Ukrainian drones were destroyed on Wednesday. Most were above the regions of western Russia, which are bordering on Ukraine, or in the center of the country.

However, some of them approached the Moscow region, in which 21 million people live. The three main airports in the region stopped flights for a short time, and then resumed the operations.

The Ukrainian army said that his drones had hit the Bolkhovsky semiconductor factory, a supplier in the Oriol region for Russian rocket and fighter manufacturers.

The war in Ukraine, in which hundreds of thousands of people died, became an innovation in the field of drones, with both camps sending unanswered vehicles behind enemy lines.

Moscow and Kiev have tried to buy and develop new drones, implement them innovatively and conceive new ways to deactivate and destroy them, from farmers' hunting and electronic systems.

The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that its forces are moving on key points along the front, and the pro-Russian war bloggers claim that they have pierced Ukrainian lines between Pokrovsk and Kostantynivka in the Donetk region of eastern Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said in his evening message that the hardest battles are worn in the Pokrovsk area, but has made no reference to any Russians. On the other hand, he said that Ukrainian troops remain active in two Russian regions of the border, Kursk and Belgorod area.

Reuters said that he could not independently verify the reports transmitted by the two camps regarding the situation on the battlefield.

Russian President Vladimir Putin paid a first visit to the Kursk region on Tuesday after the statements of Moscow last month about the evacuation of Ukrainian troops in the area.
