The leader of the UDMR, Kelemen Hunor announced on Monday night that he was called by Nicușor Dan and that the formation he runs is prepared “to build with the elected president”, in the context of the discussions started for the formation of a government and a new parliamentary majority.

“Today the afternoon called me the chosen president, Nicuşor Dan, and expressed his appreciation for the Hungarian community and the UDMR for the support. And he acknowledges that we have acted united, proving an exemplary mobilization, almost beyond our own limits,” wrote Kelemen Hunor, in a message.

“We are open to the dialogue and prepared to build with the new president,” said the UDMR leader.

Dan, meetings with Bolojan and Fritz

Previously during the Monday, Nicuşor Dan said that it would be “ideal” like the four pro -European parties -PSD, PNL, USR, UDMR -, along with the parliamentary group of national minorities, to form a stable government.

He stated, in an interview with B1 TV, that he met during the afternoon with interim president Ilie Bolojan, with whom he discussed “extremely” about the budget deficit, a subject of common “concern”.

“I met Mr. Bolojan. Now I come from him. I saw myself last night with Dominic Fritz, he came to the campaign.

“We are waiting to see what is happening in the PSD, because we all know that there are tensions there. (…) Ideally, all four, plus minorities, make a government, so that we have a stable government,” added Nicușor Dan.

The president elected insists the Bolojan Premier version

In the same interview, Nicuşor Dan added that Ilie Bolojan represents his option for the position of prime minister, but he does not promise that this will be achieved, because there are “many entities, each with their aspirations, with their proposals” for this function.

“It is an ongoing discussion. Each of the people has some expectations, conditions and all this must be harmonized,” explained the president, quoted by Agerpres.

At the same time, Nicușor Dan estimated that he will follow for “at least a few months” for an economic period, because Romania “has thrown money” for at least three years, and now this situation “must be corrected”.
