The mayor of Buzău, Constantin Toma, claims that, in 2016, Marcel Ciolacu, then president of the PSD Buzau branch, refused to run for the mayor because of the financial situation of the institution. Finally, Constantin Toma candidate and won the elections. But at 6 months away, Marcel Ciolacu intended to withdraw his political support, says Toma, quoted by News.ro.

I did a lot of enemies in February 2017, Marcel Ciolacu calls me to the party and tells me to withdraw my political support: “Everyone is against you.”

Before applying for the town hall, Constantin Toma was a businessman, but the financial crisis of 2008-2010 forced to enter into insolvency.

Asked in what relationships it is today with Marcel Ciolacu, Constantin Toma replied: “Reci. What can I tell you, I am hot? I called for my birthday, by Constantin and Elena.”

Also, Constantin Toma was asked if he has a dialogue with the interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu.

Immediately after the presidential election, Constantin Toma asked the PSD to enter the government and to support the liberal Ilie Bolojan for the position of prime minister. In the first phase, the PSD leaders analyzed both scenarios: to enter the government or to vote the installation of a new executive, then to go into opposition. Following the negotiations with President Nicuşor Dan, the PSD accepted the variant of a new government rotary. Thus, Ilie Bolojan will lead the future executive until the summer of 2027, then the PSD will return to the Victoria Palace, a year before the local and parliamentary elections.
