A three -meter palm has fallen over the agent of an actor participating in the Cannes Festival

The agent of an actor from the Japanese film “Brand New Landscape” was injured by a fallen palm on Croisette Boulevard, crowded during the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday afternoon, according to local authorities and festival organizers, Reuters reports.
The man is still in the hospital and will be examined by a specialist after suffering lesions on the spine and nose, said the organizers of the Independent Directors' Fortnight section.
They did not reveal the name of the wounded man nor his client.
The press team of the film with Kodai Kurosaki, who premiered on Friday, canceled the scheduled events.
A 30 -year -old man was injured after a three -meter palm fell on the sidewalk, according to local authorities.
The police blocked a portion of the promenade near the beach to allow the authorities to remove the tree as soon as possible.
Harrison Sheehan, a director of the American state of Colorado, said he saw people gathering and filming something and thought it was paparazzi.
“I took only two steps in front and saw a man on the ground, with blood all over my head,” he said.
The festival on the French Riviera attracts between 35,000 and 40,000 participants annually, without mentioning the thousands of people who cram on the boulevard in the hope of seeing any of the many stars.
