⚡️A taxi in Russia may rise in price by 15% due to a new bill on car localization
According to the initiative proposed by the deputies, the taxi pages will have to use cars with a “high share of Russian assembly”. For now The criteria meet only Lada Vesta, Granta, Largus and Aura.
The bill was adopted in the first reading in January 2024 and is now preparing for the second reading. The date of consideration is not yet known.
If it is accepted, self -employed drivers who are not able to purchase new cars will be forced to leave the market. As a result of this, passenger transport can rise in price by at least 15%.
