Olimpiu Moruțan (26 years old) debuted at Rapid, playing about 30 minutes in victory with UTAscore 2-1.

3 days after he was introduced as a Rapid player, Olimpiu Moruțan made his debut in white and cherry. He came on in the 62nd minute of the match in Arad and played in the right lane.

Olimpiu Moruțan, after his debut at Rapid: “I'm really happy that I'm back in Romania”

“I'm happy to get 3 really big points here at UTA. We hope to continue like this and stay up there.

I'm glad I'm back. Nothing seemed different to me. I'm really happy to be back in the country, I hope to play better and better.

It was a battle game in the first half, the pitch didn't help us because it was very soft and we were sliding very hard. Otherwise, all good. We are glad we won.

The title? Of course it is possiblewe are happy to have a very united group. I think we can make a good result this year.

I want to keep playing better and help the team. I don't necessarily want to stand out, I don't want to play just for myself, but to play for the team.

I want to play well and go to the national team, it's normal. We have a very difficult match against Turkey and I want to help the national team. If I'm going to be fine, I'll definitely be there”, were Moruțan's ideas.

Later, two of the DigiSport analysts praised Olimpiu.

“High quality player who makes the difference,” said Florin Prunea.

“His entry dynamized Rapid's game. He played on the right in this match. He is a quality player, he will be a real gain for Rapid”, he added Ionel Danciulescu.
