Ukraine Secures Ammunition Supply Amid Russian Drone Threats

Ukraine receives necessary ammunition against Shahed drones from Spain, Belgium, and Poland
With heightened Russian military activity, Ukraine is critically in need of ammunition to combat drone threats. The country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sypiga, noted the urgent requirement for supplies as preparations intensify for potential new strikes. He highlighted that fighter jets, particularly F-16s, are among the most effective means to counter the threat posed by drones, citing the high costs associated with using advanced air defense missiles against these unmanned systems.
Sypiga confirmed that Spain, Belgium, and Poland have initiated the process of supplying Ukraine with essential ammunition to address this challenge.
Additionally, the minister indicated that a “very serious visit” is expected to take place soon. He expressed optimism that this visit would result in a substantial ammunition package for Ukraine, specifically mentioning several million rounds of 20mm ammunition.
Furthermore, Sypiga revealed that Ukraine is also engaged in discussions with private manufacturers to procure additional munitions.
