General Oleg Salukow was appointed deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council, who is the former defense minister Sergei Szojg, – the Russian independent Television said.
On May 9, Salukow received a parade at Czerwony Square in Moscow.
The general headed the Land Forces, which are the most numerous of the types of Russian armed forces from 2014.
Salukow was one of the deputies commanding the Russian invasion of Ukraine, General Walerija Gierasimov. In connection with Russian aggression, he was covered by Western sanctions.
